Once I heard that “Pearl is the queen of gems and the gem of queens”. I am a big fan of pearls; actually I don’t think anything is as glamorous as a pearl necklace or earrings. This necklace was exhibited in a shopping center on Bologna/Italy. The interesting thing is that it was sugar-crafted (so it’s fake of course!) and it was the ad for a bakery store – sorry I just thought it was hilarious-. Anyone can wear it for few seconds before it starts melting, but it looks so real! I put aside – the perfectly executed necklace- and tried to think about the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
What was so important about this film was that it was basically a cinematic fashion show for Givenchy, who designed Audrey Hepburn’s gowns. The simple black dress -short or long- looks perfect at a cocktail party or just hanging outside Tiffany’s with pastry and coffee in hand. Also a LBD (little black dress) paired with big dark glasses, pearls, an up-do hairdo and gloves was effortlessly put together.
